YUCCA VALLEY – The San Bernardino Sun and the Inland Valley Daily Bulletin announced their endorsement of Colonel Paul Cook (ret.) for the contested 8th Congressional District. The Sun and Daily Bulletin awarded Cook the endorsement over 12 other candidates, noting that he “has built a reputation for sticking to his conservative principles while finding ways to work with those on the other side of the aisle.”
They further noted, "Cook has the pulse of business leaders who are looking for government to ease regulations that impede economic development” and ended saying “Cook is no ideologue - he's a listener and a problem-solver. A grown-up, in other words. And we could use more of those in Washington."
Cook stated, "I’m really just humbled by their strong endorsement. Their message lays it all out: We need people to lead and solve problems for this country and for this district. We need jobs, we need to stop the endless gridlock, and we need to do it with integrity and honesty. I pledge to live up to the challenge."
